Liverpool fans are preparing themselves for what could be a season defining game next weekend.
The Reds travel to Old Trafford to take on bitter rivals Manchester United, knowing three points will all but confirm a return to the Champions League, whilst also keeping them in contention for the Premier League title.
It is a scenario most Liverpool fans would have struggled to comprehend at the start of the season, when the hope more than expectation was a sustained challenge on the Champions League places.
But the way Liverpool have surpassed expectations have impressed everyone, with Brendan Rodgers’ side currently sitting second in the table, having scored the most goals in the division (73).
Rodgers has previously spoken of the desire to add ‘next level’ signings should the Reds qualify for next season’s competition, having missed out on the likes of Diego Costa, Willian, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Mohamed Salah and Yevhen Konoplyanka in less than a year.
Should Rodgers get his wish, there may well be outgoings at Anfield.
