David Moyes is set to face Everton for the first time tonight since leaving Goodison Park for Old Trafford in the summer.
The Scot finds himself in the uncomfortable position of welcoming the side he walked out on for the champions, with them sitting three places above his new side in the table.
Whilst Everton have been excellent this season, United have been patchy at best.
But the good news for Moyes, is that now we have entered December, the United boss is in the final month before he can bring in new additions in January.
The Red Devils’ failings in the transfer market during the summer have so far looked costly, but no doubt Moyes will have learnt a lot about his squad in the three months since the season began.
Whilst January will provide the chance to add new faces, it will also give Moyes the opportunity to dispose of some of the players he will have learnt are clearly not up for the challenge.
Too many players have gone missing for United in this first part of the season, and Moyes must be ruthless if he is to put his own stamp on the squad.
With that in mind, we have identified five players we think Manchester United fans would happily see the back of in January.
