Chelsea look set to be crowned champions of the Premier League this season, after what has been a simply incredible campaign for Jose Mourinho's men.

The Blues currently sit at the summit of the Premier League, having accumulated 67 points from 29 league games, subsequently leaving second placed Manchester City with a mountain to climb.

Mourinho's side are six points clear of Manuel Pellegrini's Manchester City in second place, and the Blues' pivotal win away at the KC Stadium on Sunday could prove significant.

Chelsea beat Hull City 3-2 on Sunday in a game where the Blues were comfortably leading 2-0, before a calamitous two minutes meant Hull City went into half-time at 2-2.

A 77th minute Loic Remy winner saved the day for Chelsea, which puts their aspirations of another Premier League title well on course.

With Paul Pogba being consistently linked with a move to the West London club, here's FIVE other stars who could enhance Chelsea's already world-class team.

Raphael Varane

Rapahel Varane

Varane is without doubt one of the most coveted defenders in Europe, and if Jose Mourinho could snap up this player, it would definitely strengthen their squad defensively.

With Pepe and Sergio Ramos also competing for the starting centre back positions at Real Madrid, Varane is almost not needed at the La Liga outfit, so a move to the Blues could make sense.

Varane has been a target for both Manchester United and Chelsea, with the two clubs supposedly fighting for his signature.

Chelsea will be needing to replace John Terry who is coming to the latter stages of his career, so Varane could be an ideal replacement.

Marco Reus

Marco Reus

Reus has been part of a Borussia Dortmund side that have been incredibly underwhelming this season, with them struggling in the Bundesliga.

The German international may feel like his time at the German club is coming to an end, and he may seek pastures new.

Reus would be an incredibly astute purchase for Jose Mourinho's side and would give them an added element of craft and guile.

The versatility of Reus would be extremely beneficial for the Blues, with him able to operate as winger or in the hole behind the striker.

Mauro Icardi

Mauro Icardi

The 22-year-old Inter Milan striker has been a revelation for Roberto Mancini's team this season, and has been linked with a move to Chelsea.

Icardi has scored an impressive 15 goals in 27 league games for the Serie A club in what has turned out to be a breakthrough season for the young star.

The striker joined Inter Milan from Sampdoria ahead of the 2013/14 season, and has been one of the stand out stars in the Italian top flight.

The addition of Icardi would complement Chelsea striker Diego Costa quite nicely, with his natural tenacity and eye for a goal surely only a good thing for the Blues.

Memphis Depay

Memphis Depay

Depay would certainly add to Chelsea's already pretty wealthy options in the midfield area.

The 21-year-old became the youngest goalscorer in the Netherlands World Cup history in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, and he looks on course for a bright future in the game.

The winger currently plies his trade for PSV Eindhoven in the Dutch league, and will definitely aim to leave the country in search of Champions League football elsewhere.

Chelsea will have to fight Manchester United and Spurs for his signature, but if they could sign up this attacking star, it would undoubtedly add a new versatile dimension to their frontline.

Gareth Bale

Gareth Bale

Gareth Bale has been struggling considerably of late at the Bernabeu, with a series of under-par performances and abuse from the fans, a move away in the summer could be a possibility.

The Welsh winger has found that his own supporters have often booed him at the Bernabeu, fuelling speculation that he could move elsewhere.

Bale may well be keen to return to a league in which he is loved, and Chelsea would without doubt be one of the few clubs who could afford him.

The Spanish club are eager to try and sign Sergio Aguero and Marco Reus to the Bernabeu this summer, so the sale of Bale may well fund this!
