The Football Transfer Tavern is host to a number of Arsenal fans this afternoon, with anticipation building towards the North London derby at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners go into the game looking to find some sort of consistency, with just one win in all competitions from their last six matches.
Arsene Wenger saw his side manage three consecutive Premier League draws with Everton, Leicester and Manchester City, before a comfortable win over Aston Villa last weekend.
In between those games have come disappointing Champions League and Capital One Cup defeats to Borussia Dortmund and Southampton respectively.
Arsene Wenger’s side appear to be struggling to find their rhythm, with new signings yet to find their feet, and the likes of Mesut Ozil struggling to make the desired impact.
Gunners fans were disappointed not to see a few more new faces come through the door in the summer, and January may well see Wenger under pressure to spend more money.
In order to do just that, the Arsenal boss may well be required to shift some more of the dead wood at the Emirates, with several players fighting for their Arsenal future between now and January.
When you consider that club captain Thomas Vermaelen was allowed to leave during the last window (alongside Lord Bendtner) it’s fair to say that nobody is safe from the chop at the Emirates!
