5 players who could follow Tielemans to Manchester United in January

Facing Everton away at Goodison Park by the time Saturday afternoon rolls around, no Manchester United supporter in the Football Transfer Tavern is feeling totally confident of all three points given the 3-0 defeat by Arsenal the Red Devils suffered last time out.

In fairness, the last time United visit the blue half of Merseyside, the Toffees also dealt a 3-0 hiding to Louis van Gaal’s side so there will be plenty of work to do by the time 3pm hits in four days’ time.

On the whole however, United have endured a solid start to the Premier League season and currently sit in third place in the top flight at present and just two points behind current leaders Manchester City.

One of the reasons in which United find themselves towards the top of the table is because big summer signing Anthony Martial has taken to life at Old Trafford like a duck to water.

Registering three league goals for the Red Devils in quick succession, there will be plenty more to come from the clinical Frenchman and if he can make that sort of impact, United fans are wondering whether any more reinforcements will be brought into the club in January to bolster the club’s fast start.

One man who has been linked with a United switch despite their embarassment of riches in the central midfield position right now is Anderlecht’s young Belgian international Youri Tielemans who The Mirror are claiming is next on Louis van Gaal’s radar.

Having already accumulated Champions League experience despite being just 18-years-old, there is no denying Tielemans’ potential but who else may be following him to Old Trafford come the New Year. Here’s five players who might well be.
