Football supporters can make you despair at times and this week has given a fine example of just why.
According to widespread reports, a small section of Liverpool fans are looking to get Reds manager Brendan Rodgers sacked after a disappointing start to the 2014/15 season – and plan to fly a ‘Moyes Out’ style banner over Anfield during the weekend’s Premier League clash with Chelsea.
Twitter account @RodgersOutGroup has gained 2,851 followers and unveiled it’s banner design over the weekend, urging supporters to donate towards the cost of the plane to fly it over Anfield on Saturday.
The main gripe towards the Northern Irishman appears to be his business in the transfer market with the banner sarcastically reading: Brendan Rodgers is a football genius. Forever in love with Southampton and Swansea’s footballers. £215 million spent on absolute rubbish. #RodgersOUT.
