It’s been yet another weekend to forget for Liverpool fans who witnessed their side slump to a fourth consecutive defeat of the season.
If Liverpool fans ever have to make a trip to Selhurst Park again, it will be too soon. The Reds’ last win at the south London ground came back in 1998 and was the venue in which they threw away a 0-3 lead last season to hand the title to Manchester City.
Just six months later, the 3-1 defeat at the same ground has left the Reds 12th in the table, 18 points behind leaders Chelsea and has brought manager Brendan Rodgers under severe pressure.
But still, there is hope the Reds can achieve a top four finish this season despite the fact everything looks very doom and gloom right now.
So to those who may be calling for Brendan Rodgers head, or be demanding Steven Gerrard retires as soon as possible, here are five reasons why you should calm down and remember there is still every chance the Reds can make the top four this season.
