Liverpool fans inside the Football Transfer Tavern have found very little to complain about following their sides start to the season.
Besides a dismal display at home to Southampton and a Capital One Cup exit at Old Trafford, the Reds have enjoyed a near perfect start to the season.
Luis Suarez is back in action, and his partnership with the in-form Daniel Sturridge is being hailed as one of the Premier League’s best.
But one man who things have not gone so well for so far is summer signing Iago Aspas.
The Spaniard was bought in from Celta Vigo in the summer for just over £7 million, and was given the added pressure of being handed the Reds famous number 9 shirt.
In truth, Aspas has looked a million miles off some of the players who have worn that shirt in the past, the likes of Rush, Fowler and Torres – with Liverpool fans concerned he may be the worst number 9 since El-Hadji Diouf, although that would take some doing.
Whilst Aspas has come in for criticism for failing to find the back of the net in a red shirt yet, there is still reason for the Reds to keep the faith.
Here we have identified 5 reasons why Liverpool should not give up on their latest Spanish star.
