With the international break upon us, Manchester United fans can take a deep breath and assess what has been a hectic start to the 2014/15 season.
The club have brought in a new manager, a host of world class attacking talent and have produced a range of performances from a 4-0 defeat to MK Dons in the Capital One Cup to back-to-back wins over West Ham United and Everton.
With Radamel Falcao, Angel Di Maria and Ander Herrera now on the club’s books, we can expect a vast improvement from United on last seasons’ seventh-placed finish.
Whilst most agree the title will prove out of reach given their defensive frailties, a fourth-placed finish is what most supporters would deem the minimum requirement this term.
But with Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool and possibly Tottenham and Everton also eyeing those Champions League places, it certainly won’t be straightforward.
