5 reasons why the top four isn’t a lost cause for Tottenham just yet

Tottenham fans left the Football Transfer Tavern disheartened and disillusioned last Sunday after watching their team get battered 4-0 at Liverpool.

But Arsenal’s heavy defeat to Everton, coupled with an impressive 5-1 win over Sunderland at White Hart Lane last night seems to have lifted the mood a notch – so much so that some fans are still refusing to write off a top four finish.

Last night’s result took Tim Sherwood’s side into sixth in the table, five points behind bitter rivals and fourth placed Arsenal.

They sit four points behind Everton, who also have a game in hand.

But with the way this season has panned out, there is every chance of a few more twists and turns between now and the end of the season – and a perfect finish for Tottenham would surely put them back in the mix.

It may be a long shot, but whilst Tottenham fans are buzzing on the back of the biggest win of the season, take a look at the five reasons we have come up with to make you believe Champions League football is not entirely out of the question just yet.
