The plaudits for new Spanish international forward Diego Costa are coming in thick and fast but in our eyes, it has been former Arsenal and Barcelona star Cesc Fabregas who has made all the difference for Jose Mourinho.
It may have been an unlikely coupling once upon a time, with Mourinho and Cesc having a spat or two in the past couple of seasons, not to mention the Spaniard’s declaration that he would give anyone permission to kill him should he ever play for Chelsea.
However, it now looks like a match made in heaven.
The one missing medal in the collection accumulated by Cesc is a Premier League winners’ medal – and we think that he could well lead Chelsea to the title this season, completing his trophy haul in the process.
