Liverpool fans inside the Football Transfer Tavern are still purring over the recent performances of Luis Suarez.
After the forward put in arguably his worst performance in a Liverpool shirt during the 3-1 defeat to Hull City 10 days ago, the Uruguayan forward has since responded in style.
First came perhaps the finest individual display against Norwich City a week ago, as Suarez scored four sublime goals in a 5-1 win, and became the first Premier League player in history to hit three hat-tricks against the same club.
Saturday’s performance was not as spectacular, but the results proved similar.
Suarez was on fire again, forcing two own goals from West Ham United defenders with his shooting, and planting a fine header at the Kop end to seal the game in the second half.
Suarez is no doubt taken over Steven Gerrard’s mantel as the Reds’ most important player, but the fear remains that he may depart Anfield at his first available opportunity.
After a summer spent attempting to force his way out of Anfield, Brendan Rodgers knows more than anyone that it is imperative the Reds make the right signings in January to help secure the Champions League football the forward so desperately craves.
Therefore, we have identified five potential signings we feel would convince Suarez that the Reds are on the up.
