Chelsea fans will no doubt be hoping next season proves far less of a soap opera than the one just gone by.
Hate figure Rafael Benitez has been replaced by former hero Jose Mourinho, so with the supporters back to being happy, their latest problem to solve involves signing a top class striker to either replace, or provide the league goals that Fernando Torres has so far failed to deliver.
Jose Mourinho has remained tight-lipped on the future of the £50 million Spaniard, and with January purchase Demba Ba seemingly now surplus to requirements after just two league goals since his move, Chelsea are set to spend big once again in order to get back to being title challengers once more.
Plenty of names have been linked, whilst some targets have already been snapped up – such as Radamel Falcao making the move to Monaco.
Having already captured Bayer Leverkusen’s Andre Schurrle, Mourinho knows he will be more than capable of attracting fellow big names, and with a seemingly boundless transfer budget, the summer transfer window should be an exciting one for Chelsea fans.
