For the second time in his career – and the second time in a row, Jose Mourinho has ended a season trophyless and we in the Football Transfer Tavern think there are some things he needs to address this summer.
The issues faced by Chelsea have been well documented and even Mourinho himself has made it clear that last season he was in charge of a little horse.
However, the Special One is thoroughly aware that in order to keep his job, he has to make sure the little horse becomes a thoroughbred – and to do that, things simply have to change.
Players need to come in, tactics need to change in certain games and perhaps most vitally of all, the image Mourinho and his side sometimes project might have to be altered.
The likes of Manchester City and Liverpool will be improving – not to mention the fact that Arsenal will be trying (and probably failing) to kick on, and Manchester United will be far stronger than last season – they hope!
All of this means Chelsea and Mourinho need to up their game – and here is how we think they can do that.
