5 things we can expect from FIFA 14 this year

fifa14.jpgAlongside Grand Theft Auto V, it is arguably the video game release of the year this Friday. Yes folks, FIFA 14 will be hitting supermarket shelves up and down the nation and the upcoming release has just reminded me to reinstall our statutory tavern Xbox console by the corner of the bar!

Featuring Barcelona’s Lionel Messi and new world record breaking Real Madrid star Gareth Bale on the cover in new Los Blancos uniform after some rather nifty Photoshop skills by the tech bods over at EA Sports, gamers all across the nation will immerse themselves in their television screens in zombie-like fashion as girlfriends and wider families lose their partners, sons and brothers for the long winter months!

But what can we expect from the new release apart from updated rosters and a new television commercial that features Argentinean superstar Messi in a FIFA 14-clad red van driving across a desert-like landscape with stars of stage and screen in toe – somewhat rather surprisingly including Canadian rapper Drake.

With a demo of FIFA 14 having been released on September 10th, supporters of Tottenham were afforded an early chance to play as their favourite team, pitting their wits against the likes of Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, New York Red Bulls, Boca Juniors and Barcelona who featured on this encapsulating pre-release.

So without further ado, let us reveal the 5 things we can expect from FIFA 14 this year.
