It has certainly been an interesting two weeks for Arsenal supporters in the Football Transfer Tavern as the season slowly draws to a close.
The Premier League title now looks unlikely to be heading to the Emirates Stadium after a 1-0 defeat to Stoke City, leaving the Gunners seven points off Chelsea at the top of the league.
While reigning European champions Bayern Munich proved too good over two legs to see Arsene Wenger’s team exit the Champions League, they were able to defeat Everton and reach the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
Qualification for the Champions League should be secured and the prospect of landing their first silverware in over eight years could be on the cards. The FA Cup semi sees them face current winners Wigan Athletic with Sheffield United or Hull City awaiting the victors in the final.
Finally winning a trophy should be considered a success but some punters are disappointed how the Premier League title challenge seems to have crumbled in recent weeks.
However we reckon that following an fascinating season Wenger would have been able to learn many valuable lessons to take forward to next year.
