The 2013/14 season has been a campaign the likes of which most Manchester United fans will not have witnessed in their lifetimes.
David Moyes has struggled to say the least during his first season in charge.
United find themselves out of both cup competitions, struggling to turn around a 2-0 first leg deficit in the Champions League, and facing the very real prospect of missing out on a top four finish.
Manchester City sit nine points clear in fourth place, with two games in hand at present, making Sunday’s clash with second placed Liverpool all the more important.
Defeat on Sunday would all but end United’s top four hopes, and bring the curtain down on a season that has been almost a complete disaster from start to finish.
Moyes maintains he is the man to turn things around at Old Trafford, and will be given a huge transfer budget in the summer in order to do so.
In the meantime, United must focus on getting as many points as possible from their final 10 games, and see where it takes them.
But one thing is for certain, no matter what the 2013/14 season will be one United fans will be keen to forget in a hurry.
