Tottenham never seem to do things quietly in pre-season.
Under Harry Redknapp it was all about last minute deals announced from his car window, whilst last summer Andre Villas-Boas continued in a similar trend during his first summer in charge.
Deals are expected to go down to the wire once more, although plenty have already been signed, sealed and delivered at White Hart Lane.
It’s been a pre-season all about records. Whilst the club are currently trying to resist a world record offer for Gareth Bale, they have succeeded themselves in smashing their own club transfer record twice.
First with the £17 million capture of Paulinho from Corinthians, and secondly with the £26 million signing of Roberto Soldado from Valencia.
There is no doubt that Tottenham fans would be heading into the new season with huge optimism, if only the Bale transfer saga would go away.
There has been some cause for concern on the pitch as well however, with only one pre-season friendly victory picked up, twinned with a couple of heavy defeats.
There is still plenty to get sorted in time for the big kick off, which is now just one week away.
With that in mind we have identified 5 things we have learnt from Tottenham’s pre season so far.
