Chelsea fans have had a week they will never forget inside the Football Transfer Tavern.
It started with a comfortable 3-1 win over Manchester United on Sunday, memorable for the reason that United were so poor that even Samuel Eto’o was able to bag a hat-trick.
But since that game, it is almost as if Mourinho has taken pity on his once great rivals, having made the inexplicable decision to sell them Juan Mata for £37 million.
Chelsea fans have been left stunned by the decision to sell the Spaniard, who had previously been Chelsea’s player of the season for the last two years – until Mourinho decided this campaign he was only good enough for the bench.
With a fee for Mata agreed, and personal terms with the reigning Premier League champions set to be discussed, Chelsea are now looking for a replacement.
And it seems they have settled on FC Basel winger and Liverpool target Mohamed Salah – the man dubbed the ‘Egyptian Messi’.
Salah has caught the attention of several clubs following some eye catching displays in Europe – in fact he scored in both Champions League games against Mourinho’s men this season, one of which proved a winner.
But what else do we know about this 21-year-old?
