Tottenham Hotspur fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern are looking fairly disheartened by the weekend loss to Newcastle United and are lamenting their side’s form at the minute.
In an attempt to cheer them up, our landlord reminds them that not only did North London rivals Arsenal lose as well, but so did a couple of other title contenders. All is not doom and gloom at White Hart Lane just quite yet.
To move the conversation along, our landlord turns the conversation to the January transfer window, and notes that not only will Andre Villas-Boas be looking to bring in a couple of players, but there will also be a few looking rather eagerly to the exit door.
There are some high profile players looking to leave the club on loan and who want to finally be getting a chance at first team football again.
Not only that, but there are a couple of young Lilywhites who will benefit from a temporary move for the second half of the season in order to get some regular first team action.
Not only will that further their careers and personal development but in the long-term it will be a huge plus for the club.
With that in mind, here are five players who are desperate for a loan move this winter.
