It’s been a start of the season to forget for Tottenham fans with their beloved side languishing in 12th place in the Premier League table with just 14 points from 11 games.
The home form under new boss Mauricio Pochettino has become a major concern with Liverpool, West Bromwich Albion, Newcastle United and most recently Stoke City leaving White Hart Lane with all three points.
The latest defeat even prompted Spurs striker Emmanuel Adebayor to take a pop at the Tottenham supporters, to further underline just what a miserable start to the 2014/15 campaign it has been for the north Londoners.
“It might be better to play away at the moment,” said Adebayor.
“At least you know you are going to be having the majority of opposition fans booing, rather than our own fans.
“Will it help playing away from home? To be honest, I think so.
“And I am not just talking about me, I am speaking on behalf of all the players.
“When you are playing at home and your own fans start booing you after a few minutes then it is harder.
“It is like going through a sad moment and your family not welcoming you home – that’s the worst thing ever because you have nowhere to go.”
Pochettino is the man under pressure to turn the situation around and the January transfer window may be crucial with potential incomings and possible outgoings on the cards.
Here, we have identified five players we think those unhappy Tottenham supporters would be glad to see the back of this winter.
