5 transfer ‘no-brainers’ for Tottenham to snap up in January

Fabian Delph

Tottenham fans have been suffering with that Monday feeling more than most, having seen their side fall to another disappointing home defeat at the weekend.

Mauricio Pochettino is struggling to make the desired impact at White Hart Lane, and could only watch on as Spurs surrendered to a tame 0-2 home defeat to Stoke City.

The result leaves Spurs 12th in the table, with 14 points from 11 games.

And worse was to come, when Emmanuel Adebayor slammed the Tottenham supporters for creating a ‘negative atmosphere’ during home matches.

“It might be better to play away at the moment,” the Spurs striker said.

“At least you know you are going to be having the majority of opposition fans booing, rather than our own fans.”

Pochettino insists he is under no pressure this early in his Tottenham career, and will surely be given funds to turn things around in January.

Here, we have identified five transfer ‘no-brainers’ for the Spurs boss to consider.
