West Ham United continued their excellent start to the season with a comfortable 1-3 win over Burnley at Turf Moor yesterday.
The result has taken the Hammers up to fourth place in the table with 13 points from their opening eight matches.
It can be considered a fantastic start for Sam Allardyce who went into the new season as one of the early favourites for the sack.
Allardyce is not the most popular with West Ham fans, having introduced an unattractive direct style of football to Upton Park over the last couple of seasons.
But this term appears different with the club seemingly inspired by summer recruits the likes of Diafra Sakho, Enner Valencia, Aaron Cresswell and Alex Song.
But this new look West Ham side could still do with a couple more additions, particularly when you consider players the likes of Andy Carroll and Winston Reid have been linked with January moves away from Upton Park.
