Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers seemingly has a difficult job on his hands at Anfield this summer.
The former Swansea City manager already has an eleven point gap to make up on last seasons top four, and is tasked with finding a replacement for club legend Jamie Carragher, who retired at the end of last season.
Before Rodgers could even relax and enjoy his holidays, Luis Suarez has been busy causing more drama whilst on international duty with Uruguay, attempting to engineer a move away from the club.
Should Suarez go, it would significantly boost Rodgers’ transfer kitty, but would leave the Liverpool manager needing to replace 30 goals in all competitions from somewhere.
He pulled off some excellent business in January, bringing in Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho, who injected new life into Liverpool’s season for a combined total of £20 million.
Rodgers will need to wheel and deal in a similar manner this time around, and with a host of names being linked with a switch to Anfield, we have made a list of five the club simply do not need.
