With the dust now starting to settle on what has been an incredible 2013/14 season, Liverpool supporters are beginning to look ahead to what should be an incredibly exciting transfer window for their club.
Despite narrowly missing out on their first league title in 24 years, Brendan Rodgers has guided the Reds back into the Champions League for the first time since 2009.
And with a return to Europe’s elite club competition comes big money to spend, and the ability to attract a different class of player.
Rodgers has said all season that whilst his first team is a match for anyone, the squad at his disposal is very thin.
Whilst Manchester City had the likes of Alvaro Negredo, and Stevan Jovetic to call upon in order to change a game, Rodgers found himself forced to turn to the likes of Iago Aspas and Victor Moses.
With money to spend, Rodgers will now look to add the strength in depth in order to mount another title challenge next season, as well as having the ability to contend with Champions League football.
Reports suggest Southampton’s Adam Lallana is the first target the Reds have set their eye on, but he certainly won’t be the only arrival at Anfield this summer.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
