5 transfers to help boost a Tottenham title challenge

NeiltonTottenham fans will no doubt have barely recovered from the summer transfer window at White Hart Lane, and already potential January signings are being discussed in the Football Transfer Tavern.

The summer was like no other at White Hart Lane with the club splashing the cash to bring in several new faces, and selling star man Gareth Bale for a world record £86 million.

Judging by the first six matches, Andre Villas-Boas seems to have invested the cash wisely.

Brazilian midfielder Paulinho – the first to break the clubs transfer record this season – has adapted to the Premier League with ease.

Roberto Soldado – the second man to break the record – is yet to score in open play, but has looked impressive. It is surely just a matter of time until the goals come.

Christian Eriksen – an £11 million signing from Ajax – has perhaps looked the most exciting so far. The creative midfielder looks a steal already, and has shone in the home performances against Norwich City and Chelsea.

Andre Villas-Boas will be looking for more from wingers Nacer Chadli, and club record signing Erik Lamela – who is yet to properly feature.

But the overall feeling at White Hart Lane, is that Tottenham have all the resources to mount a title push this season.

If Andre Villas-Boas can add some more faces in January with reports suggesting he will have the cash to do so, then it may well be a memorable season for Tottenham fans.

Here we have identified 5 potential signings to help boost a Tottenham title challenge.
