5 World Cup Group A stars that Manchester United should be signing

Guillermo OchoaManchester United fans will have been looking forward to the World Cup more than most, after a disastrous 2013-14 campaign.

David Moyes could only guide the 20 time Champions to a seventh placed finish, and was subsequently relieved of his duties before the end of the season.

United have since installed Ryan Giggs as interim boss, and confirmed the appointment of Louis Van Gaal for next season.

The former Bayern Munich and Barcelona boss will take the reigns at Old Trafford after the summer’s World Cup, where he is set to guide the Dutch national team.

With the tournament kicking off in just over two weeks time, Van Gaal is likely to have an eye on some potential new signings at Old Trafford, with reports suggesting he no longer fancies reported targets Toni Kroos and Cesc Fabgregas.

Van Gaal will get his first chance to take a look at the talent on show when the tournament kicks off on June 12, as hosts Brazil take on Croatia, whilst Cameroon and Mexico make up the rest of Group A.

With this in mind, we have identified five Group A stars Manchester United could look to sign this summer.
