The end of one era at Manchester United has bought about the chance for a new one. David Moyes has just finished his first official week in the Manchester United hotseat since succeeding Sir Alex Ferguson who announced his retirement at the end of last season.
Moyes is under no illusions as to the magnitude of the task he is taking on replacing the greatest British manager of all time, and has spent his first week assembling his squad of backroom staff, of which he has included former United defender Phil Neville, whilst also offering the evergreen Ryan Giggs a player coach role.
Both men are fine examples of United players that have come through the academy to enjoy great success, and Moyes knows like his predecessor he will be tasked with unearthing new gems of similar quality.
True, it is unlikely he will ever find another Ryan Giggs, but the United academy has been famous for producing world class talent down the years, and it is believed this current crop of youngsters is pretty exciting also.
Here we have identified 5 young stars that could well be given an opportunity to shine next season.
