76% of Tottenham fans are eager for Levy to try and land £58.5m-rated attacker

It’s been a pretty good season so far for the Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern, but they’re hoping that next season will be even better.

Mauricio Pochettino has made a habit of making every season better than the last, and that has been reflected this season. They’ve enjoyed decent Premier League form whilst also remaining competitive in Europe – and so our resident Lilywhites are feeling optimistic.

However, Spurs cannot rest on their laurels. They need to continue to improve, and one way that they can do that is by bringing in some more top quality players.

One player that has dominated the discourse in the Transfer Tavern is Anthony Martial. According to French source RMC Sport last week, the attacker wants to leave Man Utd this summer in search of more regular football, and that has got our resident Lilywhites talking.

Indeed, it appears as though the prospect of Martial, who is rated at £58.5 million by Transfer Markt, moving to Tottenham is an exciting thought for most fans.

According to a recent poll ran by our landlord, a whopping 76% of Tottenham fans are eager to see Tottenham try and sign him, with just 24% of fans voting to the contrary.

With over three-quarters of Tottenham fans keen to see a deal happen, Martial’s clearly a popular figure. Offering brilliant attacking, goalscoring, dribbling and pace, the Frenchman has been undervalued considerably by Jose Mourinho this term.

There has been, as of yet, no real suggestion that Tottenham are ready to make a move, but the Telegraph have suggested in recent days that they hold an interest.

Whether a deal happens remains to be seen, but it’s fair to say that our resident Lilywhites are very excited indeed.
