Toulouse FC are set to lose their prized assets this summer with Moussa Sissoko and Franck Tabanou attracting interest from a whole host of big clubs across Europe. Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal have all expressed an interest in the Toulouse pair, along with Bundesliga giants, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.
Moussa Sissoko has been making quite a name for himself as the young Frenchman has drawn comparisons with Arsenal legend, Patrick Vieira and is now looking to move on to a new challenge in order to further his career.
The 21-year-old told L’Equipe:
“I’ve had four years at Toulouse, four years in which I have really progressed. Maybe it’s time for me to look elsewhere,”
“Maybe a new challenge is needed for me to reach the next level.
“I need a new challenge. I need to be playing in the Champions League, quite simply. In my head, yes, I would like to go elsewhere. Everything else is out of my control.”
If the midfielder is really serious about Champions League football then a move to Manchester City or Arsenal with their French contingent would be a positive move for the player. Dalglish is also a big fan of Sissoko but will have to use his power of persuasion if he is to bring the French international to Anfield, due to lack of European football.
Arsenal might step up their interest in the player if Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas are to move on this summer and with a valuation of around £7Mill, it is definitely withing Mr Wenger’s price range. Germand champions, Dortmund are also lurking around, however, and after losing Nuri Sahin to Real Madrid are keen to bring in a new midfielder.
Sissoko has impressed immensely this season, earning plaudits across world football, yet he is not the only Toulouse player looking to move on to bigger things this summer.
Toulouse team-mate Franck Tabanou is also attracting interest around Europe and would be no surprise if we were to see him plying his trade in the Premier League next season.
