West Ham will be hoping to add some new players this summer as they look to have a successful period under new manager Manuel Pellegrini.
The Hammers, who had something of an indifferent campaign last season, will be hoping the former Man City manager can be the man to lead them to some element of success in the top flight and bring some silverware to the club.
The loyal Hammers fans here in the Tavern have been having a good old chat with our landlord this week at the bar, and they’ve been having a think about the type of player the club should be looking to attract this summer in terms of the transfer market.
One player who has been brought up is current Aston Villa striker Jonathan Kodjia, who is valued at only £8.1m by Transfermarkt.
Kodjia endured a frustrating time last season owing to injury, and could well have been the man to make the difference for Villa had he been fit.
However, it was not to be, and Villa are now in desperate need of selling off some of their top stars, leaving the door open for a club like West Ham to make their move.
Quick, strong, and good in front of goal, Kodjia should well guarantee the goals in the top flight and is definitely worth a punt for the Hammers over the summer months.
Hammers fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know!
