Marvin Martin has attracted the attention of many European clubs including Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool.
With an £8 million price tag accroding to The Metro and wage demands of only £60,000 a week, there is no surprise as to why he has been a target for many Premier League clubs.
But, it looks as if the Premier League will have to find an alternative to Martin as the French Press have stated that Marvin Martin will move to Lille. After Lille lost their playmaker in the form of Hazard, the French club are looking for a player who will help them continue to fight to become Ligue 1 Champions.
Martin would be a dip in contrast to the quality of Hazard. Martin contributed to 7 goals last season in 29 games. This contrasts to Hazard’s 35 goals in 38 appearances which will hit Lille badly next season.
So despite the allegations from the Metro, Marvin Martin has reportedly chosen Lille on a 4 year contract which will see him earn €200,000 a month. L’Equipe stated that Martin chose Lille due to the appeal of Champions League football which arises questions as to why Arsenal failed to win this 24 year old playmaker.
