Norwich fans in the Transfer Tavern have not had much to cheer about this year, seeing their club finally fall through the trap door after battling relegation for the entirety of the season.
And it looks like the mood will continue to dampen for the Norwich faithful as the Guardian confirms today that a host of Premier League clubs will look to secure the services of English starlet Nathan Redmond, who has had good moments in an otherwise dismal term for the Canaries.
Redmond has played all but three of Norwich’s Premier League fixtures this season and scored his sixth league goal against Watford in an emphatic 4-2 victory yesterday evening, unfortunately making no difference to their survival bid.
The 22-year-old’s contract will expire in 2017, but a move away from Carrow Road is looking more likely to go through this summer as Mark Hughes and Slaven Bilic have both licked their lips at Redmond’s £10 million price tag.
Our resident Hammers here inside the Football Transfer Tavern are excited about this news, and feel Redmond is a perfect, young footballer for the club to sign.
Our landlord has to agree with the Irons faithful, and thinks that Redmond has an incredibly bright future in professional football.
Norwich fans….. Would you be gutted to see Redmond leave? Let us know below!
