There must be some concerns within the Liverpool camp at the moment with some of their recent results potentially costing them a chance of winning the Premier League title.
The draw against Everton may not have eased any nerves as the season starts to enter it’s final stages, although fans will know they have the quality to challenge Manchester City all the way to the end, whilst the chance of returning to a Champions League final is still on the cards.
However, it appears Jurgen Klopp and the Reds are already looking towards the future in terms of player recruitment, with a talented Brazilian prospect on their radar.
What’s the news?
According to a report by Le10Sport, Liverpool are just one of a couple of European powerhouses keen on Reinier Jesus.
Although the 17-year-old striker is yet to make his debut for Flamengo, he is considered to be one of the country’s next stars, leading to the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Juventus and Manchester City all monitoring him.
Although not much is known about Jesus, he is understood to be a really exciting prospect and one that could go far in the game, having already represented his country at youth level.
The teenager was named the captain for Brazil’s Under-17 side and has one goal to his name in the three appearances he has made.
With the likes of Roberto Firmino and Fabinho already at Anfield, Klopp could look to use that to his advantage to bring the player to Liverpool, although there will likely be work permit issues that would need to be sorted before he could ever play for the club.
However, with the likes of Real Madrid and PSG both having strong Brazilian links within their own squads as well, they could miss out on the player as he may decide a move to the other European heavyweights could be better for him.
