Bournemouth are entering their fourth season in the Premier League and the south coast side look here to stay.
Manager Eddie Howe has created a side that play attractive football, and as a result he has developed a name as one of English football’s most promising managers.
When The Cherries broke their transfer record to sign Jefferson Lerma from Levante this summer, the club laid down a statement that they want to become serious contenders in the league. Whilst it still seems a far stretch to seem them competing for the title for now, cup runs and the possibility of European football don’t seem too hard to imagine.
With that in mind, we asked the Bournemouth fans whether they thought their side would finish in the top ten of the Premier League this season and this is how they voted:
An overwhelming 93% of Bournemouth fans believe that their side will finish in the top half of the table, which is significant given that the side are still relatively new in the league. The club managed to finish twelfth last term, but obviously the fans have their sights set higher.
Given the competition in the league, the top half of the table is always a tough one for a club like Bournemouth, who don’t yet have the players or resources as some of the league’s big guns, but that doesn’t stop the fans having confidence in their club.
