Though the Liverpool fans are enjoying their side’s remarkable run in tthe 2017/18 season, they can’t help but cast one eye ahead to the summer transfer window.
Whilst there is a Champions League semi-final to contend with, the prospect of the club getting even better this summer is a thought that most can’t quite fathom.
However, it is likely to be the case. Liverpool’s success this term will likely give them the funds to invest more heavily during the close-season, and that’s without even considering the impending arrival of Naby Keita.
The midfielder is set to move to Anfield this summmer, and his arrival will give Jurgen Klopp quite the option in the midfield.
Fortunately for Liverpool, the deal to bring him to Anfield ahead of time appears to be working wonders for them. According to The Times, RB Leipzig’s poor form in Germany could see the transfer fee reduce significantly. Part of the deal, it is said, was linked directly to RB Leipzig’s league performance, and if they qualify for the Europa League instead of the Champions League, Liverpool could be over £6 million better off.
This is, naturally, great news for Liverpool. A saving of any kind is fantastic, and in this case, it’s looking to be quite a significant saving too.
Take a look at what they’ve had to say below…
