‘A world class prospect’, ‘Sign him on’ – Man City fans on Twitter encouraged by recent comments of Serie A talent

The Manchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping they can maintain their bid to win four trophies this season with victory over Burnley on Saturday.

The iconic FA Cup third round weekend is upon this weekend, and the Citizens propping up the bar in the tavern are hoping for a comfortable passage to the fourth round. Liverpool and Everton will kick off the FA Cup action with a Merseyside derby this evening in what promises to be the headline fixture of the weekend.

Man City on the other hand face a tricky looking tie at home to Burnley, but Guardiola’s side are full of confidence at this moment in time, so they should get the better of the Clarets without too much trouble.

Guardiola may opt to rotate his squad slightly for the domestic cup match by utilising some of his fringe players in the starting eleven.

Due to the physical demands of competing for silverware in four competitions, City would be wise to consider bringing some fresh faces to The Etihad this month.

The Citizens have been linked with a whole host of players so far this month, but Fiorentina’s attacking winger Gil Dias has not yet been linked to the club.

Despite this, the player himself has recently admitted that it is his dream to move to the English top-flight, and he personally identified Manchester City as his ideal destination.

Based on the Twitter reaction to Dias’ comments so far, it appears that the supporters clad in City blue are excited by the prospect of seeing the Portuguese winger at the Etihad.

And the City fans are certainly delighted to see the player expressing his personal desire to play for their club.

Here’s what they had to say about the potential signing of Gil Dias this month…
