Despite Jurgen Klopp holding a huge amount of admiration for one player, it appears there was a simple reason as to why Liverpool did not want to sign him.
According to a report by The London Evening Standard, Aaron Ramsey’s wage demands allegedly put off the Premier League title challengers.
And, it is hard to argue against that when it is rumoured that the Arsenal midfielder will join Juventus on a deal worth around £400,000 a week.
Liverpool were not thought to be the only club interested in the Wales international, with Manchester United also keen but were also not prepared to offer him those demands.
It is not hard to see why Liverpool did not pursue their interest in Ramsey after learning about his huge wage demands.
The Anfield outfit are not exactly lacking for options in the middle of the field at the moment and have other priorities within their squad that need addressing.
With the amount of money he is reportedly set to earn at Juventus, if he were to be given that by the Premier League outfit, Klopp’s side could have a number of their star players looking for bumper deals as well.
