Abramovich should be telling Granovskaia to scout these 2 World Cup stars for Chelsea revamp

Chelsea fans here in the Tavern are hoping that their side can secure Champions League football next season after failing to ensure consistency under Antonio Conte.

The Blues didn’t enjoy the best of campaigns as they failed to make the most a promising position in the race for a Champions League spot, with Liverpool securing fourth position on the final day.

Therefore, the summer transfer will be of huge importance to Chelsea as they’ll need to strengthen before the start of next season. Indeed, with Alvaro Morata leaning towards the exits and Gary Cahill ageing, perhaps Marina Granovskaia will look to bring in a striker and a central defender.

Marina Granovskaia is in charge of transfers and will make a lot of decisions on that front as managers come and go. So, with Antonio Conte’s future currently surrounded with doubt, she will be the one in charge of bringing in a number of quality players over the course of the summer.

So without further ado, Roman Abramovich should be telling Granovskaia to scout these TWO World Cup stars…

Timo Werner

Timo Werner currently plays his football for German side RB Leipzig and managed to score 21 goals and provide 10 assists for his teammates in the campaign just gone.

Indeed, it comes as no surprise that the impressive forward has been included in Germany’s squad for the World Cup later on this month, with many of our local residents believing that he can fire them to World Cup glory.

So, with Chelsea possibly looking to replace Alvaro Morata this summer, making a move for Timo Werner would guarantee the Blues goals and a promising striker for the future.

Kalidou Koulibaly

The 26-year-old has established himself as one of the best central defenders in world football, with an impressive World Cup possibly forcing Chelsea into making a move this summer.

Indeed, the central defender was named in Senegal’s 23-man squad for the World Cup later on this month, with the country’s hopes very much in his hands.

David Luiz’s future continues to be surrounded with doubt and Gary Cahill is getting on with age and could look to move away, so moving for Kalidou Koulibaly would give the Blues a welcome boost heading into the new campaign. Encouragingly, a defence that consists of Koulibaly, Cesar Azpilicueta, Marcos Alonso, Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger has many of our local residents dreaming.
