Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have had to endure a season of lows so far and aren’t quite sure how to react to this latest rumour, with the punters quietly sipping their pints as they contemplate this potential departure.
The Serbian defender, who turns 32 next month, has endured a tough time in the Premier League this season and has faced the brunt of criticism from many fans in the bar- who declare he is not good enough for Chelsea anymore.
With 83 caps for his international side, and an array of medals from his time at Chelsea, Milan clearly believe that Ivanovic is still capable of performing at the highest level.
Milan can open negotiations for a pre-contractual agreement this month, ahead of a free transfer in the summer, but reports state the Italian side are keen to bring Ivanovic to the San Siro this month– which means they’ll have to pay a small fee.
Chelsea regulars by the jukebox state Ivanovic’s time at Stamford Bridge is up but are unsure as to whether he should be allowed to leave this window.
