The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern are expecting nothing but a win against Everton on Saturday. The Lilywhites have had a mixed season so far, with Mauricio Pochettino’s men not as consistent as they have been over the last few years so far this term.
Conversely, Everton’s recent form has been very solid, and so the game this weekend is sure to be an exciting one.
Unfortunately for Spurs, though, their injury news isn’t looking too good ahead of the game. As confirmed over on the official Tottenham Twitter page, the trio of Toby Alderweireld, Danny Rose and Harry Winks are all out of contention for the game.

Both Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose have been missing for a while, and that will continue to give Mauricio Pochettino a real headache in the defence. Winks hasn’t played since December, and whilst our resident Lilywhites were hoping for a return this weekend, that now clearly isn’t going to be the case, with his injury seemingly worse than first feared.
Though these injuries likely aren’t unexpected from the perspective of Pochettino, they’re no less frustrating. The Lilywhites have a number of big games coming over the next few weeks, and they need all the depth they can get.
Unsurprisingly, the Tottenham fans over on Twitter have responded to the news very negatively, with one fan particularly disappointed that Winks won’t be featuring for the Lilywhites.
