Sunderland took a step in the right direction yesterday as they secured all three points against Bradford City at Valley Parade.
The Black Cats won’t accept anything less than promotion to the Championship in the current campaign after an impressive start to life under Jack Ross. Although, one of the club’s youngsters is attracting interest, as according to The Sun on Sunday (07/10; page 60) (via HITC), Manchester United are eyeing a move for Adam Richardson.
Manchester United are eyeing a £500,000 move for Sunderland goalkeeper Adam Richardson.
The England under-15 international is being viewed as one of the brightest talents coming through the Sunderland academy ranks.
So, the youngster looks to be the real deal with United preparing to spend £500,000 on a player that could fail to live up to expectations in the future.
Adam Richardson’s path to the first team is much clearer at the Stadium of Light, with the likes of Josh Maja and Joel Asoro enjoying their breakthrough at the club last season. So, it may not be the most sensible of moves for the youngster to join Manchester United as he won’t see first team football unless a loan move was in the offing.
But, there’s no doubt that the Black Cats will be disappointed to see the youngster depart if a deal goes through, as he has the potential to become a future star.
