Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been placing bets as to where a veteran defender will end up, following comments from the player’s agent.
The Daily Express quotes the agent of Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel, Mithat Halis, as revealing three clubs are interested in the services of the Slovakian defender- but Besiktas are not one of them.
“There are three clubs that want Martin, Fenerbahce have been interested for four years but there are also offers from China and Wolfsburg also want him. Besiktas are not interested and Galatasaray cannot currently afford him.”
A move to the Far East would certainly be lucrative but an offer from Wolfsburg and Fenerbache may also appeal to the 31-year-old, who only featured four times for Liverpool in 2016 under Jurgen Klopp.
Currently on duty with Slovakia at Euro 2016, where his nation lost their opening group game to Wales, the veteran is widely expected to be on his way out of Anfield this summer.
Which club would be the best fit for Skrtel? Let us know in the comments below!
