Agent claims Liverpool’s targeted Mignolet replacement will be expensive

Perin MignoletLiverpool fans have endured a difficult season, particularly watching those selected between the sticks with neither Simon Mignolet or Adam Bogdan looking like they could catch a cold. Therefore, the fans in the Transfer Tavern are desperate for changes.

Of the many goalkeepers in world football linked with a Liverpool transfer this summer, there’s been a direct comment from the agent of one-man in particular- but the reports from TalkSport don’t necessarily make for good reading.

The agent of Genoa stopper Mattia Perrin, Matteo Roggi, hopes his 23-year-old client can move to a big club but has conceded only a ‘big offer’ will make that a genuine possibility.

“I hope that Perin can play for a big club: he’s had 120 appearances in Serie A and is the youngest goalkeeper to have had so much experience. If Genoa sell him they won’t give him away, he’ll only leave for a big offer.”

Liverpool, of course, do have money to spend and Perrin would likely be a cheaper alternative to the likes of Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, Jack Butland and Fraser Forster, all of whom have been linked with a summer switch to Anfield.

Reds fans, should you go all out for Perrin this summer? Let us know in the comments below!
