Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been boosted by reports that suggest they have an improved chance of luring a top-target to Anfield this summer.
The Metro, citing quotes made in an interview with Sports Witness, reveal that the agent of Portuguese star Rafa Silva is working towards earning his client a Premier League move, with the 22-year-old likely to leave current side Braga.
‘Our client, Rafa Silva, sees with very good eyes the possibility of playing in the Premier League. We are working towards achieving this objective.’
The youngster has excelled with the Portuguese side since moving to the club in 2013, scoring 25 goals in 90 appearances, and is ready to take the step-up to a higher league in order to challenge himself at a top level.
However, Liverpool may face competition in the transfer market as it’s reported Manchester United are also eyeing a move this summer, with our landlord suggesting who wins his signature may come down to which club achieves their objective of Champions League football for next season.
