Agent of Man United’s dream target makes shock transfer admission

NeymarManchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have reacted surprised after hearing some sensational quotes from the agent of a genuine world superstar.

The Daily Express quotes the agent of Brazilian ace Neymar as revealing the Barcelona superstar dreams of a move to Paris Saint-Germain, which hands a massive blow to Manchester United’s own transfer plans.

Since moving to Catalonia from Santos in 2013, Neymar has become a global phenomenon and was the face of Brazil’s 2014 World Cup. Having won a treble with Barcelona last season, which included the Champions League, it’s all appeared swimmingly for the South American icon.

However, with claims of alleged tax evasion hanging over the 24-year-old, he’s been linked with an exit from the Camp Nou and, with two-years remaining on his contract, Neymar’s agent Wagner Ribeiro told L’Equipe:

“Neymar has a contract with Barcelona until 2018 and he is feeling very well at Barcelona. He is a beloved player there and is part of the best team in the world. It is not easy to impose yourself at such a huge club, but the prospect of living in a city like Paris and playing for a club like PSG is a dream for every player too.”

“We will see what happens in two years’ time when his contract expires. If PSG showed an interest in signing Neymar, we can always discuss it.  A contract can be resolved if the buyout clause is met. Neymar’s buyout clause is huge, it’s €193million (£154m). But I don’t think that would be an insurmountable problem for PSG.”

Having opened the door for a move, if his release clause is met, Manchester United fans in the bar are crying out for their club to match the price- but our landlord can’t see that happening.

Would Neymar be a waste at Paris Saint-Germain? Let us know in the comments below!
