Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur fans are used to their side going head-to-head on the field but it now seems a similar battle may take place on the transfer front, with a quality player being targeted by both of the north London sides.
The Daily Express quotes the agent of Gremio ace Walace as stating his client is ready to step-up and complete a ‘dream move’ to Europe, with Rogerio Braun directly addressing rumours of Italian outfit Lazio’s interest.
“Several big European clubs are following Walace, but up until now we haven’t received any formal offer. Lazio could be a good opportunity. We know and we appreciate the Italian league, the country and the club, but nobody has been in contact with us and I wouldn’t want to speculate on this.”
“Europe is a dream but not an urgent necessity, there’s no hurry. I think he’s ready and if he had to move somewhere, we’ll consider the possibility.”
The 21-year-old is likely to be featured in an international capacity this summer, with Brazil considering selecting him for their Copa America squad, whilst he could also feature at the Rio Olympics.
