The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been desperately scouring the net for rumours and reports in an effort to fill up the international break.
After becoming accustomed to the high-intensity football on offer under the stewardship of Jurgen Klopp, the Reds propping up the bar need some transfer tidbits to quench their football thirst.
So, comments made from a reported target’s agent have proved somewhat of a damp squib.
Earlier this week, the Merseyside titans were linked with a move for Inter Milan midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia in an attempt to beef up their midfield in January.
Undoubtedly a powerful player, the Frenchman has seen his progress stall in recent seasons after leaving Sevilla for Monaco and then the Nerazzurri.
Now, the 23-year-old’s agent has revealed the French international IS happy to stay at the San Siro, despite struggling under Frank De Boer following his arrival at the club.
“Despite the current situation, Geoffrey is relaxed. There are no problems and he is happy at Inter,” Jonathan Maarek told TuttoMercatoWeb.
“Kondogbia is certainly a top level player. He has a lot of quality and is very young, so obviously he has a lot of clubs interested in him.
“Can I name them? I will just say that he is not lacking interested clubs.”
Would Kondogbia be a good signing for Liverpool? Let us know below….
