Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have been left groaning, as it appears one transfer they hoped was close to completion may be further away than they thought.
Ibrahimovic is available on a free transfer from July, when his contract with Paris Saint-Germain draws to a close, and it’s widely expected he will move to the Premier League, with Manchester United heavily linked on the veteran’s signature.
However, there may still be work to do on the transfer front as Raiola said Ibrahimovic will decide his future after Sweden’s involvement in Euro 2016.
“Manchester United are a glamorous team and they have a great coach. I have made my decision about the next destination, but he has not made his – he is really busy with the Euros.”
“Out of respect for the Euros, the team, the country and the coach he has to be professional and concentrate on that.”
Our landlord thinks United fans shouldn’t be too concerned though, as he feels Ibrahimovic is destined for Old Trafford.
