Manchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern have overheard a piece of gossip that hasn’t surprised them all to much, after an outspoken agent stated his client will leave this summer.
Metro quote Yaya Toure’s agent, Dimitri Seluk, as stating his client will definitely leave Manchester City this summer, amidst speculation that ignited when Pep Guardiola was confirmed as the next Citizens boss.
Toure and Guardiola didn’t enjoy the best of relationships during the duo’s time at Barcelona previously and the Ivorian international has flirted with an exit in recent seasons, as his importance to City has begun to decline.
Ahead of what’s set to be an extremely busy summer in the transfer market, Seluk has put his client on the market as he told FC Inter News:
‘He’ll definitely leave Manchester City, I can calmly confirm that. Various offers have arrived for Yaya and we’re evaluating them, but no decision has been taken yet for next season.’
Amongst those linked to the African star’s signature are Inter Milan, led by former City boss Roberto Mancini, and given the source of these comments, our landlord believes the Italian giants are the favourites to land the midfielder.
City fans, is it time for Toure to move on? Let us know in the comments below!
